Diemme Sotto il Salone: where to buy a take-away coffee but also the fine mocha blends

Diemme has officially opened a new coffee store in the center of Padua, Diemme’s hometown. The store is a small bijoux in the historic “Sotto il Salone” market area, at street number 47, which opened its doors to the public on Wednesday 8 May, precisely in conjunction with the food festival “Il Salone dei sapori”. Despite the unfavorable weather, already during the first weekend, the coffee storer – about twenty square meters of wood and marble – received an excellent response from the public: it is a small but elegant coffee shop that focuses on a sophisticated and quality offer.
“Diemme, currently the only one Paduan roasting factory managed by the same family for almost a century,” explains the president, Giannandrea Dubbini, “could not miss in the place par excellence of the Paduan trade. A small store, in which the customer can buy the mixes to prepare at home its coffee with the moka, but also a take-away bar, in which the espresso drink or cappuccino are distributed through a sophisticated and innovative machine that resembles the plug of beers . The coffee can then be tasted also on-the-go, thus conforming to the trends of the moment and to the demands of the customers, but also remaining tied to our tradition. Without forgetting the sentimental aspect, because Padua is in our heart – continues the president Dubbini – we aim to intercept both the Paduans and the tourists. The store wants to revisit a beautiful showcase also for foreign trade: the export, now in forty different countries, represents 40 percent of the company’s turnover”.
